~ Free Child Passenger Seat Check Events ~

During the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ‟Click It or Ticket” campaign, May 11-31, Troopers certified as Child Passenger Safety Technicians will host free child seat fitting events.

At a child seat fitting event, caregivers can:
✅have their car seats checked for suitability
✅receive instruction on the proper installation, and have seat(s) installed
✅learn to properly harness a child in a seat
check seats for recalls

Appointments and Walk-ins:
Some events require appointments and will be marked "Appointment Only" in the telephone column

You can request a specific time for some events; call the number listed. If no number is listed, attend the event any time within the posted hours

Our friends Arnold Palmer Regional Airport are looking for volunteer victims.

WANTED: Willing Victims 🚨

No, really. We need you.

We are looking for volunteers to play the role of a disaster victim as part of a realistic, full-scale emergency response exercise. You might get wet and dirty, so wear old clothes.

Volunteers under 18 years old require a signed parent's permission form to participate.

Arnold Palmer Regional Airport holds a full-scale disaster drill every three years to meet FAA requirements, and we can't do it without community volunteers to play the role of victims.

Area fire departments, ambulance crews, and hospital personnel will all be on-site participating in the drill. Your participation helps everyone in our region be better prepared.

Thank you to everyone who signed up! We have reached out capacity of volunteers. You will receive an email next week with more details.

Firefighters and Township Crews have been out since around 6:30PM responding to Trees, Wires and other storm related incidents.

We are unable to clear some roadways due to power lines being involved. These have all been reported to West Penn Power for attention.
