As you have seen with many other municipalities throughout the county, an emergency meeting was held by the Salem Township Board of Supervisors on January 25th, 2026 at 6:42pm, unanimously approving a Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency, due to the ongoing storm.

This declaration allows the Township to respond more quickly by expediting emergency operations, purchasing needed supplies and equipment, coordinating with fire, EMS, and county/state agencies, and restoring essential services as conditions allow. The declaration helps ensure resources are available to protect public safety during and after the storm.
