Celebrations: Rick Henkel-club anniversary on May 20--23 years, Lora Howard-club anniversary May 21-13 years.
Jim and Amy Kappelman celebrated their anniversary on May 24.
Mentioning the Kappelmans reminds me that last week I sent an email to my pastor and associate pastor about the Kappelmans' company-Senior Care Authority. I think both of them would appreciate knowing about their services as they work with our families who are in need of help in this area. https://www.seniorcareauthority.com/locations/central-nc/senior-care-services/
Also, I have shared this information with my wife and kids in case perhaps in the distant future, the need arises to place a family member in a facility (e.g.me) :) . In my discussions with Jim over lunch, I understand that they have a complete grasp on what facilities are available and can provide excellent guidance to family members on best fit. The great news is that this resource help does not cost the family anything--their fees are paid by the facilities.
Our program was presented by our own Amanda. She shared her thoughts on the direction of the club for the next year. Also, Amanda received the "'Rotarian of the Year" award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the club this year-including strong preparations to step in as President July 1st.
Other photos are of our micro project, Leroy receiving a Service above Self certificate for his membership contributions and Bill presenting a $300 donation to the Women's Club of Greensboro (Patty James) for their nice job of hosting our meetings.
In other news, I asked Patty to share the projects the Women's Club is involved with. her email is shown below.
Dear Gene,
