Ms. Bell's 5th grade students are having a great time learning while building important teamwork skills at Sawyerville Summer Learning! Students worked collaboratively to complete a multi-digit multiplication puzzle, using problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication to reach their goal.

K–3 Summer Learning ended the week with a β€œbang” at Greensboro Elementary! β˜€οΈπŸ“š

Our kindergarten students are strengthening the Alphabetic Principle by identifying letters and letter sounds, while also practicing letter formation with fun, hands-on activities like writing the letter P in shaving cream.

Third graders are building their reading skills by identifying open syllable words using syllable maps and passages. In science, students are learning about animal characteristics, habitats, and how scientists classify animals as vertebrates or invertebrates. They are also creating ocean habitat dioramas and invertebrate models to showcase their learning.

We are proud of our students' hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning. And of course, ending the week with cookies made the learning even sweeter! πŸͺ
