Think you know your Alabama trees?

Put your tree ID skills to the test! We've sketched the foliage of several common native trees found across the state.

This challenge is a fun way to sharpen your observation skills and learn more about the trees growing all around you. Once you've made your guesses, use the identification key to see how many you got right and learn the basics of tree identification. https://www.aces.edu/go/6025

We will share the correct answers in the comments later this week.

Before you cast a line for the 4-H BIGGEST Catch Contest, make sure you're ready to fish legally!

If you're 16 or older and plan to fish Alabama's public waters, you may need an Alabama Recreational Freshwater Fishing License. Not sure where to start? Alabama Extension has a simple step-by-step guide that walks you through the process and helps you choose the right license for your fishing adventure.

Then it's time to hit the water! From June 5–15, youth ages 9–18 can compete in the 4-H BIGGEST Catch Contest by catching, measuring, photographing, and submitting their fish for a chance to win. Whether you're after a trophy bass, a giant catfish, or creating fish-inspired artwork, there's a category for you.

Learn how to purchase your fishing license https://www.aces.edu/go/6415 and get contest-ready today https://www.aces.edu/go/4165.

Congratulations!!! So proud of you all

What a special group! πŸ€πŸŽ“ As our 4-H seniors don their cap and gowns over the next few weeks, we want to say how proud we are of each of them for their leadership, service and 4-H SPARK!

Friendships, experiences, life and career skills, and determination are just a few of the things that make them for the bright future ahead. We are so excited to watch as each and every one of them impact their schools, workplaces, and communities.

Follow along over the next few weeks as we spotlight the Alabama 4-H Club Foundation scholarship recipients on social media!
