📣CALL TO ACTION
Re: Data Center in Forsyth County, NC
A large data center is being proposed for Rural Hall in Forsyth County, NC.
This is marketed as “economic development,” but these data centers consume massive amounts of energy at the expense of public infrastructure, and the permanent jobs they do provide are far fewer and lower-paying than their scale implies.
This follows a pattern North Carolina workers are all too familiar with: growth for big business, and costs for everyone else.
The proposal now heads to the local planning board.
There are four ways you can get involved and take action right now: sign a petition, go to a community meeting, join us for a sign making event, and show up to the local planning board with our signs.
