Greensboro Parks and Recreation is serving up 52 Weeks of Find Your Fun, and this week’s spotlight is on our Peeler Recreation Center Accessible & Inclusive Park.

Looking for a park where everyone can get out, explore, play, and connect? Peeler Recreation Center is one of Greensboro Parks and Recreation's locations featuring accessible and inclusive amenities designed to help more people enjoy the outdoors and recreation opportunities.

Peeler offers a playground, pool, multisport court, tennis court, outdoor fitness equipment, StoryWalk®, fitness room, gym, game zone, meeting rooms, kitchen, facility rentals, and more. Be sure to check out the StoryWalk®, presented in partnership with the McGirt-Horton Branch Library. The current featured story is The Year We Learned to Fly by Jacqueline Woodson.

Plus, mark your calendars for Thursday, June 18 at 4 pm for Color The Culture Tie-Dye! Celebrate freedom, culture, and creativity at our Juneteenth Tie-Dye event. Bring your own t-shirts or use our bandanas, and get ready to swirl, splash, and create something bold, bright, and unforgettable.

R.E.D. Zone Football and Cheer registration is officially OPEN, and it's time for young athletes to hit the field, make new friends, build confidence, and have a whole lot of fun.

Whether your child dreams of scoring touchdowns, making big plays, or bringing the crowd to its feet with cheer, this is where the action starts.

Don't wait until the last minute. Team spots fill fast, and football season will be here before you know it.

Registration: June 1-July 17
Ages: 5-13 (age determined as of September 1)
Fee: $75 per child

The 2v2 Community Block Party at Lewis Recreation Center was straight fire and we are still buzzing! Huge gratitude to everyone who came out and brought the energy. Our wonderful photographer captured all the epic moves, smiles, and vibes perfectly. Major shoutout to our rockstar staff for pulling off such a flawless event. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

Bring friends, grab food and merch from local vendors, and settle in on the lawn for TWO matches and an unforgettable night of soccer.

Whether you're a lifelong soccer fan or just here for the atmosphere, this is your chance to cheer, celebrate, and enjoy a summer evening under the lights. Wear your stars and stripes, bring a blanket, bring your team spirit, and let's make some noise for Team USA!
