During today’s meeting, the Commissioners had the honor of welcoming the Caroline County Department of Social Services to present the proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Behind closed doors, too many children face challenges that no child should ever have to experience. That is why awareness, prevention, and early support are so important right here at home.

This moment is especially meaningful because it brings together so many of the people and organizations in Caroline County who are working every day to protect our children teachers, first responders, social workers, law enforcement, and community partners all united with one shared purpose.

It truly takes a community to keep children safe. When we work together, speak up, and support families before they reach a crisis, we can make a real difference in a child’s life.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, advocate, and care so deeply for the children of Caroline County. Your work matters more than words can express. Caroline County Department of Social Services

The investigation revealed Salmons was operating his personal business, One and Done Automotive, and allegedly siphoning funds from customers and corporate businesses of JP Automotive.

Sgt. Adams dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to this investigation, conducting thorough research and analysis that uncovered evidence of more than $100,000 being embezzled from JP Automotive during Salmons' employment. Sgt. Adams diligence, attention to detail and commitment to the case were instrumental in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion.

As with all legal proceedings all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
