Named after the Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier, this small and friendly town is located in the Gem state of Idaho on State Highway 19, five miles to the East of US-95 and the City of Wilder, and five miles to the West of Interstate 84 and the City of Caldwell. The community offers a welcoming presence from the Greenleaf Friends Church, the private K-12 Greenleaf Friends Academy founded in 190

9, and the local home-style Greenleaf Cafe. Our region is known for its agriculture and agricultural beauty, including row crops, fruit-bearing orchards, hops, and a variety of seed crops. Greenleaf is a quiet community conducive to a positive family atmosphere.

Municipal irrigation water is off for the majority of the gravity flow system this morning so that the City Crew can effect repairs to the system. Irrigation will be turned back on as soon as the repair is complete, currently expected to occur this afternoon.
