Sue Broderick, Harborfields Board President

Sue Broderick, Harborfields Board President Thank you to this community and to the current Board of Education for your confidence in me.

I have lived in Greenlawn since 2004 and my two children are recent Harborfields grads. My daughter was a three-season varsity athlete who has gone on to win an NCAA DII National Lacrosse Championship and my son is a student with Autism and was in our special education program from kindergarten through graduation. I have also worked as a teaching assistant in the district for the past 17 years. I

am a dedicated and experienced member of our school community and have served in many leadership roles. I have a proven track record and experience serving our school community as an executive board member and President of our Special Education PTA, I was President or Vice-President of the United Teaching Assistants of Harborfields union for 12 years and I’ve been a member of numerous districtwide committees. As a trustee on the Harborfields Board of Education, I work to support our entire community who is incredibly supportive of its schools.

Before the voting started this morning our Alumni came Back Home to help guide our Juniors and Seniors with realistic words of wisdom that they gained from their own experiences. It was a thrill to be invited to the inaugural alumni event and it was even cooler because Kailey was there to address our HF upperclassmen. I was excited to see this event and thank both the students and our alum for spending time together! HF is Home!!!

Incredible! Our kids do some really incredible stuff!!

At last night's Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration presented by JCRC-LI, four exceptional students from Harborfields High School were recognized for their leadership and commitment to strengthening community connections.

Congratulations to Anderson Howe, Oliver Donnelly, Yoselin Benitez Almendares, and Eli Noah, who received this year's Students Building Bridges Award!

The award honors students for their efforts in fostering understanding and compassion across communities. As part of this recognition, they received citations from elected officials, along with a certificate of achievement from the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
