It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we report that retired K-9 Karma has ended his watch. K9 Karma was 10 years old and served our department in locating narcotics and tracking criminals before his retirement in 2016. He was the faithful partner to Officer Turnacliff and even in retirement Karma held onto his energy and was driven and focused to work. He also was able to enjoy long nights with his favorite reward, his Kong.

Our thoughts go out to the Turnacliff family who not only lost a partner but a beloved family friend. Please keep them in your thoughts.

🐾 Thank you Karma for your service, rest easy boy 🐾

Protect your information:

Protecting your information can be as simple as having a strong password to thwart online attacks for your information. Here are some tips on creating a strong password.
--Use a unique password for each of your important accounts. Make sure you use a different password for your banking accounts, emails, etc.
--Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols if allowed. Did you know that an eight-character password with numbers, symbols and mixed-case letters is harder to guess because there are approximately 30,000 more combinations possible?!
--DO NOT use personal information in your passwords. You can select a random phrase or word and make it difficult to guess. (IE: sPo0kyh@ll0w3eN)**
--Make sure your back up passwords are are up to date and secure. Make sure your security question and answer is something that only you would know.
--Keep your passwords secure. Don't leave notes around with your passwords or information on them.
