Showers and thunderstorms will impact central Indiana at times Thursday through Thursday night. Some severe storms are possible, mainly from midday Thursday through late Thursday night. The primary threats will be damaging winds and large hail, but tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall will produce localized flooding as well.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to ensure that your holiday is filled with flavor and safety, especially if you plan to deep-fry your turkey. Follow these guidelines for a secure and scrumptious Thanksgiving:

Safe Handling: Use heat-resistant gloves and long utensils to avoid burns when lowering the turkey into the hot oil.

Temperature Control: Keep a close eye on the oil temperature with a reliable thermometer to prevent overheating and fire risks.

Watchful Supervision: Never leave the fryer unattended, and maintain a safe distance from curious kids and pets who might be drawn to the cooking process.
