After 20 years of service to our City, Patrolman C.W. Murnan retired today from your Greenfield Police Department.

Ptlm. Murnan has served in leadership roles throughout his career, most recently as our Training Lieutenant before transitioning back to patrol to finish his career as a beat cop, which he loved.

Patrolman Murnan will be missed by us all, especially for his steadfastness in chaotic moments and the leadership qualities he shared with everyone.

Please join us in wishing C.W. Murnan the best in his well earned retirement from Law Enforcement. Well done, C-Dub! We’ll see you around!!

We would like to congratulate Patrolman C.W. Murnan for completing 20 years of service today to the City of Greenfield.

Patrolman Murnan became a full time Greenfield Police Officer on August 26, 2006. He currently serves on A Squad Day Shift. Ptlm. Murnan also serves as the Department Traffic Safety Officer and is an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor. Ptlm. Murnan previously served as a Lieutenant for several years.

We would like to congratulate Captain Michael Schwamberger for completing 17 years of service today to the City of Greenfield.

Captain Schwamberger became a full time Greenfield Police Officer on August 24, 2009. He currently serves as Patrol Commander, overseeing all Patrol Operations. Cpt. Schwamberger also serves as the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team Commander.

Until 745 PM EDT.

IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 550 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.

- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

- SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE

We would like to congratulate Sergeant Zachary Petrey for completing 5 years of service today to the City of Greenfield.

Sergeant Petrey became a full time Greenfield Police Officer on August 21, 2021. He currently serves as the supervisor for A Squad Day Shift. Sgt. Petrey is a Field Training Officer (FTO), FTO Liaison, Patrol Evidence Technician and Taser Instructor. He formerly served on the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team.
