Linda Ugelow: How to Love Speaking In Public, Even If You Hate It Now
Wednesday, September 16, 3:00 pm, Community Meeting Room
Come to the GPL’s Community Meeting Room on Wednesday, September 16, at 3:00 pm for How to Love Speaking In Public, Even If You Hate It Now with Linda Ugelow.

Technology gives us more opportunities to speak out than ever before. From videos and webinars to podcasts, TV, and live presentations, these platforms can accelerate your business and career by amplifying your message and brand. But while some of us gladly step forward, others shy away from the camera or public speaking, despite having something to say.
In this transformational talk, speaking confidence coach Linda Ugelow delivers a holistic methodology that gets to the root of what’s stopping you from sharing your voice and the steps you need to take to step into authenticity with confidence.
Linda Ugelow is a performer of over 35 years and with a master’s degree in expressive therapies and movement studies who has been helping people get comfortable in their skin for decades.

Drop in Mending Clinic, Tuesday, September 15, 2:00 - 3:30 pm, Makerspace
Have a favorite sweater that has a hole? Jeans with a torn out knee? Canvas bag that is losing its handle? A button that has come off?

Bring your clean item to the GPL Makerspace on Tuesday, September 15 between 2:00 - 3:30 pm, and let us brainstorm a solution to mend your item that you can do! We will help you figure out the fix and maybe even get you started on your way to mending your item. We have sewing machines, simple hand sewing tools for basic mending repairs. Participants are expected to have basic sewing skills.

Pre-registration is preferred, and drop-ins are welcome. Email us at [email protected] to tell us what you plan to bring to the mending clinic.

For more information, contact Nancy Little at [email protected] or call (413) 772-1544.

Needleworker’s Guild: Embroidery for Everyone, Monday, September 14, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Join us on Monday, September 14 at 6:00 pm, for a fun, creative embroidery workshop that meets once a month in the GPL Makerspace!
Whether you’re brand new to embroidery or already have a project underway, this is the perfect space to learn, stitch, and connect. Each session will cover essential embroidery basics—like simple stitches, hooping techniques, and finishing touches—while also giving you plenty of time to continue your own projects at a relaxed pace. Bring your own materials or borrow ours. All are welcome from beginners to pro stitchers!
This month we’ll be making felt embroidered fall leaves with beads and sequins!
This class is part of our Summer Roundhouse Series. Participants are encouraged to use the skills they’ve learned to make a project to enter at this fall’s Franklin County Fair. We will hold sessions in mid-August to assist with framing and entering arts and crafts into the Roundhouse. Participants may also use the Makerspace and classroom materials throughout the summer.
Pre-registration is encouraged: https://greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/16626164
This program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Greenfield Local Cultural Council and the Franklin County Fair , is free and intended for teens and adults, ages 13+.
