Our fall event is less than a month away. It is scheduled for September 26, 2026 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. We will be holding this event at the Greenfield-Central Junior High, 1440 N. Franklin Street in Greenfield. Please enter through the main entrance of the school. Hazardous waste, electronics, tires and paint disposal is for Hancock County residents only.

We have been getting phone calls asking if we will still have our event tomorrow, even though it looks like rain. YES, we will be there rain or shine! If there is thunder or lightning in the area, we will seek shelter in our vehicles, but will be back out once it stops. Please be patient. If you are planning on bringing tires, you can help us out by knowing how many tires you have and whether they are on or off the rim. Thank you!

We are very excited for the new trash and recycling containers for the Parks Department! What a great partnership! Thank you also to the Community Foundation of Hancock County for helping to fund the project!

♻️ Check out the brand-new recycling and trash receptacles at Depot Street Park, Brandywine Park, and the Riley Park Splashpad. It's now easier to keep our parks clean and green!

The metal bins previously located at Depot Street Park have also been moved to Riley Park, another step in keeping our parks clean.

Holiday Light recycling bins will be available until January 18, so you can recycle any non-working lights that you are taking down.
