We belong to the National Main Street Center and are an accredited Main Street Program utilizing the Four Point Approach, a trade-mark approach to revitalization. We have a local governing board of directors and working committees in the areas of Design/Beautification, Business Improvement/Economic Vitality, Promotions/Events, and Organization/Volunteer & Fund development. We also have subcommitte

es that include Chamber, Retail, and Tourism. It takes many volunteers to fulfill these roles and for those not interested in serving on a committee we also have project based volunteering.

The September Networking Luncheon was held today with a very informative presentation by Raedeen Bigelow, Director of MATURA/Adair County Outreach Center. Thank you to the Olive Branch Family Restaurant for the delicious lunch and to everyone that brought food to be donated to the local food pantries. Hope to see you all in October.

Adair County Health System and Greenfield Municipal Utilities tied, with ACHS winning the tiebreaker on the first handicap hole. Congratulations to both teams on great rounds of golf. Adair County Health System also gets the honor of being the first team to take home the Chamber Golf Outing Traveling Trophy. We are sure you will take good care of it! Thanks to Adair County Insurance Agency for hosting Chamber Coffee this morning. They purchased a beautiful pastry tray from Moe's RBF. Conversation included upper story housing projects, Iowa State Fair favorite foods and fun, district magistrates and the county attorney, and various home and work projects. Thanks to those that attended, we enjoyed spending time with you over great treats and conversation!
