On this beautiful Friday morning in Greenfield, we want to let residents and visitors know that a few business owners on the southeast side of the square will have sidewalk repair work taking place this morning. For everyone’s safety, please avoid walking on the sidewalk in this area until the barricades are removed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this work is completed.

If you own or harbor a dog covered under this ordinance, please take time to review the requirements carefully. The goal is not to surprise anyone, it is to make sure residents have the opportunity to understand the rules, comply with the ordinance, and help keep the community safe.
If you know someone who owns an animal that may fall under this ordinance, please share this information with them. We want everyone to have the opportunity to do the right thing and avoid unnecessary issues moving forward.

Public safety is the purpose of Ordinance 56. This is not a new ordinance, it has been around for decades. As ongoing concerns have been raised recently by concerned residents, the City is stepping up enforcement to help maintain a safe community for residents, children, visitors, and other pets.
If you own or harbor a dog covered under this ordinance, please take time to review the requirements regarding confinement, leashing, muzzling, signage, and insurance.
We appreciate the cooperation of responsible pet owners as we work together to keep Greenfield safe and welcoming for everyone.

Our ordinance reminders are intended to help everyone understand both the expectations and the consequences when those expectations are not met.

A friendly reminder as we head into summer:
✔️ Keep pets under control
✔️ Clean up after them
✔️ Don’t allow pets to run at large
✔️ And remember, animals are not allowed in city parks
