❗Update 3:25 pm - The interstate is set to be open momentarily, which also includes the Mt Comfort exit area. There still can be slowing traffic as some crews remain to continue cleanup. Be sure to slow down and keep an πŸ‘€ out for them

Original post: Due to the semi fire on Eastbound I-70 at the Greenfield exit, traffic will (still) be impacted for the drive home

🚨 I-70 Closure for Semi Fire 🚨

❗Update 3:25 pm - The interstate is set to be open momentarily, which also includes the Mt Comfort exit area. There still can be slowing traffic as some crews remain to continue cleanup. Be sure to slow down and keep an πŸ‘€ out for them

❗ Update 1:45 pm - We have some good news for those stuck in the immediate backup... One lane has been opened to allow the miles of traffic to start clearing. It will definitely take some time so please be patient. 70 is still closed at MM 96 for all other traffic not in the backup

❗ Update 12:15 - Fire crews from all over the county are working quickly to get it in a safe condition to allow some traffic to pass. It's estimated it will still be a while before Eastbound reopens

Update 11:11 - Westbound traffic is back open

❗ Update 10:58 am - Preliminary reports are the cargo on board contained lithium ion batteries which is making containment difficult. More updates when available

Original post: All lanes of I-70 are closed due to a semi fire near the Greenfield exit, which is mile marker 104

Westbound traffic may open up sooner than eastbound, but please expect a length delay at this time
