NVMS had the pleasure of hosting the National Theatre for Children. Our guests discussed financial responsibility with students in a fun, interactive way. Students participated in activities that taught them about spending money on wants, needs, and savings. It was a great way to start the day and increase students’ awareness of financial responsibility.

Nodaway Valley 8th-grade students put their problem-solving skills to the test during a digital escape room challenge! Working in teams, they used ELA clues to “unlock” each level before time ran out.

Nodaway Valley hosted the Pride of Iowa Leadership Conference. Student Council members from all POI schools gathered to hear an outstanding message from Taylor Anderson of the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU)

Special Thanks to Taylor for spending the morning helping our students build skills that will guide them as transformational students into adulthood! Thank you again Taylor!

Community Spotlight!

Each month, our seventh and eighth-grade middle school students take a short walk to the Fontanelle Public Library to explore new books and learn how to use library resources.

This partnership helps students grow their love of reading and strengthens their connection to our community. A huge thank you to Melissa Engles and Deb Parkis, the library staff, for welcoming our learners with open arms each month!
