The issue of "Twin Leaf Farms LLC" has been raised multiple times over the course of the past 2 years due to the conflict with outgoing Supervisor Kevin Veitch.
While other businesses and residents of the town have been forced to follow the town zoning and code laws, Twin Leaf has been allowed to operate like they're not even a business.
While other businesses, like my wife's, were being attacked by the town code department on behalf of Kevin Veitch, his family farm was allowed to essentially do as they wanted with no recourse.
Happy to see others in the town have finally taken notice and have begun to speak up on the issue.
I feel a full investigation by the state is needed to see what other laws were ignored and what other benefits this business received because of Kevin Veitch.

I have been asked by numerous residents to repost Mr. Walsh’s additional comments regarding the November 13th Board meeting.
I (Rebecca) posted them late and under the November board meeting synopsis. I agree they were buried and hard to find.
Charlie Dake and I could not be more different. We partnered on Greenfield Informed because of our differences. We both agree and disagree on what should be highlighted each month. I believe this is important information from that meeting. Therefore, I will repost Mr. Walsh’s comment.
Mr. Walsh recorded the meeting while attending and added the following….
Town Board Meeting
13 November 2025
Break down.
Planning board member Butch Duffney stated he had something to bring up and that he had not brought it up over the past several months because he did not want it to seem like it was a political comment, or politically motivated.
Butch laid out to the Town Board that he’d been on the Planning Board for over 18 years- Lots of time reviewing applications, discussing issues with applicants and fellow board members, SEQR, site visits and a lot of reading. He stated he: “felt like he was spit in the face by the town board.” His explanation was in regard to twin leaf repeatedly getting mass gathering permits and holding events in their maintenance barn. He explained how the planning board approved their special use permit and site plan, and specifically that they were building a maintenance barn to be used for maintenance only.
He could not understand how the town board could grant mass gathering permits and think that they override the determination and approvals of the planning board.
Supervisor Veitch then addressed planning board chair Tonya Yasenchak, also present. She explained at length the details of the twin leaf application and how twin leaf was asked multiple times if their maintenance building would be used for anything else. Each time the answer was no, it would be used for maintenance only.
The supervisor then asked the planning board chair if she would write a letter to address the situation. She respectfully declined and said that is not part of her job description. She spoke for over 6 minutes, specifically laying out that it is not the planning board‘s job to ensure that Special Use Permits are adhered to by permit holders. That job belongs to code enforcement.
T. Yasenchak also reiterated to the board that they discussed at length with twin leaf as an applicant that all the uses they were asking for were not permitted in the zone they are in. The planning board suggested a PUD would cover everything they plan on doing now and in the future.
The planning board chair also told the town board to look at the planning board minutes from 2022 and to look at the resolution passed by the planning board.
She further explained that this is a process and that they had asked the applicants attorney Stephanie Ferradino to present back to the planning board. She reminded the town board that twin leaf came with their attorney early in 2025 and asked the town board to have unlimited mass gathering permits.
It was determined they could not give a blanket permit, and therefore twin leaf continues to apply for mass gathering permits.
She also stated twin leaf has not come back or provided any additional information to the planning board.
She again echoed what planning board member Butch Duffney stated under public comment: Twin leaf was NOT approved for mass gatherings or any events in their maintenance building.
