The Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center is housed in the historic Roby Fitzgerald building. This beautiful building was the site of the first public school in Greeneville in 1894. The auditorium was added in 1923 and housed The Little Theater troupe of Greeneville for many years. In 1974, the building opened as Greeneville's Senior Adult Center.

Thank you, Megan Spence with the Medical Foster Home program at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center (Mountain Home, TN)! Megan was guest speaker today at our monthly Vets Coffee Cafe.
She explained that this program features private residences with trained caregivers who provide care and supervision to live-in veterans as an alternative to a traditional nursing home.
Although our area doesn't have any homes approved right now, Megan is working to secure some in the near future. For more details, call her at 423-926-1171, Ext. 5728.
Thanks, Megan!

Congratulations to Angelo Botta and Flint Carter Sr. (pictured below), our two new Greeneville City Council members.
And, a very warm welcome to Mr. Botta, who was elected at City Council today to join our Roby Center Advisory Board for a four-year term. We look forward to seeing him around the activity center.
Today was also Tim Ward's last official day serving on our advisory board as well as city council. We appreciate the dedication you have shown our members during these past four years, Mr. Ward!
