🚩🚩On Sunday, June 14th, GREENE COUNTY will be under a MARGINAL ( Level 1) to SLIGHT RISK (Level 2 ) for severe thunderstorms, mainly between 1pm-9pm. Main threat will be damaging winds. (SEE MAP, BELOW)

From the National Weather Service in Morristown:
The three day outlook features a gradual cooling trend, with this Sunday the next best chance for showers and storms.

A few strong to severe storms with damaging wind cannot be ruled out, however, there is still some uncertainty in timing and that will play a key role in the overall threat. Stay up to date on forecasts.....

🚩Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and in to the evening. Some may be severe, with the main threat being damaging, gusty winds and lightning, along with hail up to dime or penny size, NO tornadoes are expected.....

🚩Timing for severe thunderstorm potential for Greene County is mainly between 5pm-10pm.

🚩🚩Storms will develop and grow very quickly. Primary threats will be very strong winds (up to 80mph) and hail (up to 1").

Mainly between 2pm & 10pm, with damaging winds as the primary threat, but also a. secondary threat, of hail. Current forecasts indicates , NO tornadic threats.

🚩🚩Current forecasts are showing a SLIGHT RISK (Level 2 of 5) of Severe weather for Greene County on Friday, June 12th during the afternoon and evening....Stay up to date on forecasts!!!

We are keeping our eyes on Friday afternoon & evening for the chance at severe weather. Damaging wind gusts will be the main concern as isolated to scattered storms develop ahead of a cold front, but some hail and isolated flooding cannot be ruled out either. Areas along and north of I-40 have the greatest chance at seeing strong to severe storms. Stay tuned for updates!

🚩🚩Radar at noon on Tuesday, June 9th. Showers to heavy rain are occurring throughout Greene County, especially in the Camp Creek area....NO Warnings have currently been issued. BE WEATHER AWARE! And NEVER attempt to cross flooded roadways.....

🚩🚩Rain and possible thunderstorms will continue to develop throughout the next several hours. These could produce heavy amounts of rainfall, which could produce flash flooding.....
