Greeneville/Greene County, TN Office of Emergency Management & HLS EMA reports to local government officials (City/County) state & federal.

We are program management, assistance, & reimbursement assistance to local responders, as well as, responders to weather events and Haz-Mat Scenes & other response situations. The Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is tasked by TEMA and FEMA to coordinate and carry out a comprehensive plan to assist community efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from all types of man-m

ade, technological, and natural disasters. This assistance is accomplished through planning, training, grant funding, and mitigation.

🚩🚩Current forecasts are showing a SLIGHT RISK (Level 2 of 5) of Severe weather for Greene County on Friday, June 12th during the afternoon and evening....Stay up to date on forecasts!!!

We are keeping our eyes on Friday afternoon & evening for the chance at severe weather. Damaging wind gusts will be the main concern as isolated to scattered storms develop ahead of a cold front, but some hail and isolated flooding cannot be ruled out either. Areas along and north of I-40 have the greatest chance at seeing strong to severe storms. Stay tuned for updates!
