A resident at 573 Nowlin Ave located this cute little fella a short time ago. If he (the puppy) belongs to you or someone you know please reach out to us so we can get him returned home.

Reminder that Indiana code 9-21-16-7 requires your parked vehicle to be on the right side of the roadway and within 12 inches of the curb, unless angle parking is allowed. If you forget this law, our officers maybe placing a reminder on your vehicle.

As our students head back to the classroom tomorrow, the Greendale Police Department reminds all residents, drivers, parents, and students to stay alert and look out for one another. Let’s work together to make this school year safe and successful!
🚗 FOR DRIVERS: Slow Down & Stay Alert! Obey School Zones: Drop your speed immediately when entering designated school zones. Stop for Buses: State law requires stopping in both directions for a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm. Ditch Distractions: Keep eyes on the road and put your cell phone away completely. Watch Crosswalks: Yield to all pedestrians and obey the commands of school crossing guards. Expect the Unexpected: Look twice for children walking or biking near neighborhoods and bus stops.
🚶‍♂️ FOR STUDENTS: Walk & Bike Smart Use Sidewalks: Walk on sidewalks whenever they are available. Face Traffic: Walk on the left side facing oncoming traffic if a street lacks a sidewalk. Cross Safely: Look left, right, and left again before crossing at marked crosswalks. Gear Up: Wear a properly fitted helmet every time you ride a bicycle or scooter. Stay Aware: Remove headphones and look up from your screen while traveling near traffic.

Check Privacy: Ensure your social media sharing settings are strictly set to "Friends Only". Turn Off Tags: Disable location services and geotags before posting student photos online. There were cars broken into on Marie St, Cook Ave, and Birch St. overnight between 10pm-6:30am This car was stolen from Cook. Another vehicle was stolen from Birch and ditched on Cook where they took this one from. We are asking for the help of our residents that may have Ring or similar cameras that may have captured the suspect’s. Anyone with information is urged to call the Greendale Police Department at 812-537-1321 and speak with Det. Henderson.
