Conditions will transition from damp and cloudy this morning to bright and breezy as seasonable warmth finally returns this afternoon. Few more showers late tonight, with dry and cooler weather for Sunday and Monday.

05/07/2026

A chilly but sunny start this morning, before westerly breezes this afternoon bring a few late day showers from Lafayette to Muncie. Showers lingering for northern zones into the overnight. Expect more organized rain showers by late Friday, including a few non-severe rumbles of thunder.

05/06/2026

Expect drier conditions today amid isolated minor flooding. Cooler pattern will continue into the late week from lighter northwest breezes, and also considerable cloudiness today. Seasonably mild by Friday when thunderstorm chances return to end the workweek.

05/05/2026

Rainy pattern continues today after a brief lull in showers earlier this morning. Rain will be heaviest from midday through evening hours, with over an inch in under 12 hours over the region’s southeastern half. Expect ponding of low-lying areas this afternoon and evening, with isolated minor flooding possible, especially west and south of Indianapolis (following last night’s rain). Mainly dry Wednesday, but continued cool for early May through Thursday.

05/04/2026

Showers with strong gusty winds will move across central Indiana through mid-afternoon. Wind gusts over 50 mph are possible. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible.

05/04/2026

A stormy weather pattern is set to impact Central Indiana from early this morning through Wednesday evening, bringing multiple rounds of precipitation. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today, with an isolated risk for strong winds and hail tonight as storms move in from Illinois. The highest likelihood of widespread rainfall will occur Tuesday afternoon and evening before gradually clearing out on Wednesday.

05/03/2026

The latest thunderstorm trends for Monday show a better consensus on timing, with a primary window for storm development later in the day, specifically late in the evening and continuing into the overnight hours. The main threat will be large hail and gusty winds, though heavy downpours could also lead to localized flooding, especially in areas that see repeated rainfall.

05/02/2026

Warmer temperatures to start the work week will be accompanied by an increase in chances for thunderstorms. Within these thunderstorms, strong to marginally severe weather will be possible Monday afternoon and evening.

05/02/2026

Temperatures will remain cool today, and sunshine will gradually increase, with highs in the mid to low 50s. Seasonal temperatures are expected to return to begin next week, but will be accompanied by increasing chances for rain and thunderstorms.
