Every emergency starts with a voice on the other end of the line.

Governor Mike Braun has proclaimed it Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. (Click the link to view the proclamation)

This is a time that we recognize Public Safety Telecommunicators across Indiana.

The professionals who answer 911 calls and help guide people through some of the most critical moments of their lives.

Throughout the week, we will share real stories from real Hoosiers shared with us from the Indiana Statewide 911 Board that show the impact of their work across the state.

Emergency kits should be checked regularly to ensure supplies are ready when needed.

Replace expired food, batteries and medications. Add seasonal items such as weather-appropriate clothing or supplies for spring storms.
Keep your kit accessible and make sure all household members know where it is located.

Preparedness is ongoing. Small updates today can make a big difference during an emergency.
