The Jerome R. King Playground Association will hold its Annual Meeting Wednesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 130 North Washinton Street, Greencastle in the chapel room. Enter from the parking lot ramp/ door.

Members of the public are invited to attend.

As a reminder, playground facilities and amenities are not to be used for profit in any way. This includes using any athletic area for paid personal training or lessons.

Our park is a free space for the community and should be used as part of any business for profit.

On behalf of the volunteer board members at the playground, we encourage everyone to use extra caution if using the playground in the coming days or weeks.

We are sad to report that the playground suffered tremendous damage in the storm last evening, and there are many structures and trees that have fallen or may still be unstable. 

Our hearts are broken for the community, but we will clean up and rebuild as quickly as possible.

Thank you to 104 B Street Restaurant & Lounge and their patrons for supporting the recent fundraiser, which raised $517.22 for the playground.

The Jerome King playground is only able to operate because of donations from our community. We are a fully nonprofit playground. Thank you to all those who donated throughout the year and continue to do so.

The Annual Meeting of the Jerome R. King Playground will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church at 130 N. Washington Street, Greencastle.

The public is invited to attend this meeting where the 2024 year of activities, events, projects, and accomplishments of the playground will be discussed, as well as possible activities, events, and projects for the upcoming year.
