Ebbert Spring Archaeological Preserve and Heritage Park

Ebbert Spring Archaeological Preserve and Heritage Park Ebbert Spring is a 12 acre passive use park that contains some of the most important archaeological, historic, and natural resources in South-Central PA.

The park is open daily from dawn to dusk. The Ebbert Spring Archaeological Preserve and Heritage Park is a collaborative project between the Archaeological Conservancy, the Allison-Antrim Museum, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Antrim Township. The park contains the preserved remains of a prehistoric archaeological site dating back to 10,000 years ago as well

as historic sites dating to the founding of the town, the French and Indian War, and into the present. The park officially opened on August 3, 2019, during Old Home Week. The park is a passive-use park with walking trails and interpretive panels that highlight the area's natural and cultural resources.

Hey everyone! As the spring blooms fade the trees at the park are leafing out and are full of bird song. The trails are freshly cut and are a great place for a gentle stroll!

Please note there are cones blocking some of the entrances at the end of the lane as construction on the intersection continues—this is to prevent trucks from using the lane as a turnaround since they will get stuck (trust us, we’ve seen it happen!). If you need to move a cone a bit for access that’s fine, but generally the middle lane is open for cars coming and going.

Also check out our new parking spaces!

Hi everyone! If you visit the park, you’ve likely noticed that construction continues on the entrance. We’re thrilled to see things coming together with new parking areas, sidewalks, and even space for buses! We know it might be a little more challenging to navigate at the moment, but please know that the park remains open, and the fall is a lovely time to visit!
