PC CERT CERT provides highly skilled volunteers during emergencies that require additional resources PC CERT is completely staffed by your friends and neighbors.

Putnam County CERT- under the direction of Chief Sarah Owen
Provides the following
Administration, EOC Management , Communications, Transportation, Search and Rescue, Fire support and Haz-Mat, Debris removal/Chainsaw operations, Public Health/ Medical, Public Safety, Sheltering, Property Damage Assessment, and Outreach/Recruiting. CERT operates under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security but is locally directed, and self-funded.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Greencastle IN, Heritage Lake IN and Cloverdale IN until 2:15 PM EDT

A line of strong to severe storms is expected to move through central Indiana Monday afternoon and early evening. A slight risk has been issued with damaging winds the primary hazard. In addition, locally heavy rain may lead to minor flooding especially south of I-70. Stay tuned for future updates to the forecast threat and timing.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky until 7 PM EDT.

All hazards are possible Monday afternoon! We currently expect storms to fire in Illinois as supercells/ storm clusters before growing upscale into a line of storms (QCLS/MCS). This line is expected to move into Indiana with damaging winds and spin up tornadoes possible. If isolated supercells can form ahead of the line, all hazards are possible with those cells. A few tornadoes may have the potential to be strong, especially in Illinois. Stay tuned for updates! Greatest risk for severe thunderstorms appears to be across western Indiana.
