concern. Publish legal news including: new laws and changes to
current laws; local ordinance updates; cyberbullying and scam information;
special events; and community news. HIGHLIGHT THE DEPARTMENT. Provide Department information including: a
list of Officers and Staff and contact information; the Department mission
statement; descriptions of functions of performing police work including
equipment, uniforms; Officer highlights; and community outreach and
engagement. No postings of any type identified by admin as SCAM will be allowed. The Greencastle City Police Department reserves the right to use its discretion to delete or hide posts that are determined to be in violation of these guidelines. If anyone has lost a set of keys around the Bodega restaurant today they are at the department. They can be returned upon identification.

‼️TRAFFIC ALERT SUNDAY JULY 12th‼️

Starting at 12:00pm tomorrow local streets along and near the 2026 Fair Parade route will close until approximately 4:00pm. Uniformed Officers will be stationed along the route to assist anyone with issues navigating the detours. Please pay attention to the posted signs. Looking forward to a great parade tomorrow.

There is a telephone outage at the Department currently. We are being told that Metronet has had a large outage affecting Greencastle.

INFORMATION FOR UTV’s WITH CITY PERMITS

We will have walk-in hours from 3-4pm everyday Monday-Friday for the month of June for those needing to renew their UTV permits ($35.00). If those hours don’t work for your schedule please call in (765-848-1540) to make an appointment for renewal.
