The Greenbrier Police Department can confirm that Logan Woodard Kelley has been located and apprehended in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

On May 7, 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service located and apprehended Kelley in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Kelley, who was wanted in Robertson County, Tennessee, is currently being held in Canada and is facing extradition proceedings to the United States regarding pending criminal charges.

Throughout the investigation, Investigators with the Greenbrier Police Department worked in coordination with multiple partner agencies following Kelley’s departure from the United States. The Greenbrier Police Department would like to thank the United States Marshals Service, the Winnipeg Police Service, and the Canadian Border Services Agency for their professionalism, assistance, and continued cooperation during the investigation and apprehension process.

The Greenbrier Police Department remains committed to conducting thorough investigations and working alongside local, federal, and international law enforcement partners to ensure individuals wanted on criminal charges are brought before the judicial system.

All individuals charged with a criminal offense are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

UPDATE:

The Greenbrier Police Department is identifying the officer involved in the recent on-duty motor vehicle collision as Officer Matthew Hillis.

With the permission of Officer Hillis’ family, we would also like to provide an update regarding his condition and address speculation surrounding the incident. Following the collision, medical evaluation determined that Officer Hillis had suffered a seizure caused by a previously unknown brain tumor that was diagnosed after the crash occurred.

Officer Hillis now faces an extensive course of medical treatment over the coming weeks and months as he begins this fight alongside his family, friends, and fellow officers.

We ask our community to continue keeping Officer Hillis and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The support shown thus far has been deeply appreciated by both the family and our department.

Officer Hillis has been a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Tennessee since 2023 and has proudly served with the Greenbrier Police Department since 2025. Prior to his law enforcement career, Officer Hillis honorably served in the United States Army.

Officer Hillis is a valued member of this department, and we stand firmly beside him and his family throughout the road ahead.

This morning at approximately 4:00 AM, one of our Greenbrier Police Department officers was involved in an on-duty motor vehicle collision while serving our community.

Our officer was transported to Skyline Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the crash and is currently in stable condition.

Preliminary information suggests the officer
suffered a medical emergency immediately prior to the collision.

We are grateful for the quick response of first responders and medical personnel providing care.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

We ask our community to keep our officer and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his recovery.

UPDATE: IN CUSTODY

WANTED PERSON – LOGAN WOODARD KELLEY

The Greenbrier Police Department is actively seeking the immediate location and apprehension of Logan Woodard Kelley, who is considered a fugitive with active warrants for his arrest related to multiple felony offenses involving the sexual exploitation of minors. Kelley knowingly failed to appear in court as required and is deliberately evading law enforcement.

Kelley failed to appear on charges including fourteen (14) counts of Aggravated Statutory R**e, fifteen (15) counts of Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and ten (10) counts of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Kelley was last known to be in the Middle Tennessee area and is believed to be traveling. He may be armed and has made statements that raise serious concerns for his safety and the safety of others. Law enforcement considers Kelley a significant risk.

Any individual with information regarding Kelley’s whereabouts is directed to contact law enforcement immediately. Do not attempt to approach, detain, or confront this individual under any circumstances.

Last night, officers with the Greenbrier Police Department responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision within the city limits. Upon arrival, officers determined that the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a utility pole, causing significant damage to AT&T communication lines in the area.

As a result of the crash, AT&T infrastructure was impacted and crews were notified to respond and begin repairs.

During the investigation, officers determined that the driver was impaired. Following field sobriety testing and further investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Reminder: Driving under the influence places not only the driver at risk, but also other motorists, pedestrians, and critical infrastructure in our community. Please make responsible choices and never drive impaired.

Those involved are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
