Welcome to the first day of school! Remember that today is a half day for students. Tomorrow will be the first full day for grades 1-12.

Good evening Greenbrier Middle School Families,

Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year. We are looking forward to an exciting school year filled with lots of learning. We wanted to take a minute to remind you of the arrival and dismissal procedures for our students.

1. All car riders will come through the car rider area next to the gym. You will enter the car rider lines from Parker Avenue at the football field. There will be three lines. The outside lane will exit to the right. The middle lane will exit to the right or left, and the inside lane closest to the school will exit to the left only. Your child will enter through the concession area entrance.

2. All buses will enter from the front of the building, and students will enter through the front doors.

Sixth grade students will report to the cafeteria for breakfast until they are dismissed to their first class. Seventh and Eighth grade students will go into the gym, and pick up a grab and go breakfast upon their release from the gym to their first class.

Doors will not open until 7:25 am. Please do not leave your children unattended.

3. All car riders in the afternoon will exit out of the concession area and wait on their car. Please enter the same way you do in the mornings.

4. All bus riders will exit out the front of the building and report to their appropriate bus as it is called.

Please pay close attention to the following car rider instructions:

Morning—-Car has to be anywhere from between the gate by the gym all the way up to the very front of the line to get out WHEN THE SIGNAL OF A THUMBS UP is given…. (All students will exit cars at the same time, not individually.)

Afternoon—Car has to be anywhere from between the gate by the gym all the way up to the very front of the line to get in vehicle WHEN THE SIGNAL IS SHOUTED, "LOAD UP".

In the case of a special circumstance that your child's teacher is already aware of, in particular Mrs. Alanazi's class, you may enter the front drive of the building closest to the park cars away from the buses and wait for an es**rt from that teacher or aid.

The GMS Cross-Country Team will hold tryouts for incoming 6th graders next Tuesday afternoon from 3-4:15. Students interested must bring proof of a current physical in order to try out.

Don’t wanna spend your time in the car rider line? No problem! We will have 6 VIP Pick up/drop off spots up for bid. Silent Auction will be down in front of the concessions table. Your student will be the first ones dismissed each afternoon and you can skip the drop off line as well. Please share!!!
