While conducting proactive premise checks and patrolling throughout the city last night, one of our officers captured this incredible view from above Greenbelt. Moments like these are a reminder that even during a busy shift, there’s still time to appreciate the beauty around us.

Our officers are out day and night working to keep our community safe, and sometimes they get a front-row seat to sights like this.

🍩 Happy National Donut Day from the Greenbelt Police Department! 🍩

Today we celebrate one of law enforcement’s unofficial favorite food groups — donuts! Whether it’s the start of an early shift, a late-night patrol snack, or a quick coffee run between calls, donuts have always been a sweet part of police culture.

But beyond the jokes, today is also about community, smiles, and taking a moment to appreciate the small things that bring people together.

If you see one of our officers out today, don’t hesitate to wave, say hello, or ask them their favorite donut flavor. (We already know the debate between glazed and Boston cream is serious business.) 👮‍♂️☕🍩

📸 We want to see your National Donut Day selfies! Drop your photos in the comments enjoying your favorite donut, tagging your favorite donut shop, or snapping a picture with one of our officers out in the community today!

From all of us at the Greenbelt Police Department — have a safe, fun, and sprinkle-filled National Donut Day!
