M-NCPPC’s wide variety of arts programs and services let residents explore visual art, music, dance, theater and literary arts as enthusiastic spectators or eager students, and artists are en

couraged to share their work with the community in many ways. M-NCPPC manages art centers that offer art exhibitions of emerging and established artists, dance and music concerts, performances for children and families, teas, festivals, and classes in the visual and performing arts. Programs such as Café Groove, Expressions and The Prince George’s Children’s Theatre encourage youth to explore their own creativity. Several performance and exhibition spaces are available for rental by community-based arts organizations. M-NCPPC partners with other agencies to provide festivals and other arts related activities, and county-based artists can receive information on professional development, exhibition, performance and teaching opportunities

🎭 Trade screen time for stage time this summer with Publick Playhouse summer camps for ages 12-15!

🌟 Calling all future performers! Art Camp: Making a Musical takes place July 20-31, Monday through Friday from 9 am-4:30 pm. Campers will explore acting, singing, movement, costumes, and scenery while preparing for a final performance for friends and family. It’s the perfect summer experience for young creatives ready to shine on stage.

💦 Think fast and get creative at Art Camp: Theater Improvisation, August 3-7 from 9 am-4:30 pm. Campers will build confidence while learning improvisation, acting, storytelling, movement, and audition techniques in a fun and supportive environment designed to bring out every young performer’s imagination.

Join us for the first concert of the season at Fairwood Community Park this Sunday, June 7 from 4-6 pm.

🌊 Celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month with an afternoon of live music, rhythm, and culture. Caribbean Vibe will fill the park with the joyful sounds of steel pan music, while Strykers’ Posse delivers high-energy reggae favorites that are sure to have audiences dancing all evening. 🌟 Celebrate summer with unforgettable performances for young audiences as Taratibu Youth Association brings powerful music, dance, and storytelling to the Publick Playhouse stage on June 30 and July 2, followed by the playful and hilarious Peter Pan presented by Brightstar Theatre on August 11 and August 13!

Tickets priced at $8 for adults and $6 for children and groups of 20 or more, offering families a chance to experience cultural rhythms from around the world and a fresh, comedic take on a beloved classic in one exciting season. Perfect for ages 4-10.
