In February, President Joe Biden signed into law the Ghost Army Congressional Gold Medal Act honoring the WWII deception units known as "The Ghost Army." These top-secret units used inflatable tanks, sound effects and creative trickery to fool the Germans on the battlefields of Europe, saving thousands of lives and contributing to Allied victory.
The nonprofit The Ghost Army Legacy Project held a celebration ceremony for a surviving soldier in Palm Beach County. Vice Mayor Weiss presented a certificate of recognition to Manny Frockt, one of 10 surviving soldiers who served in the Ghost Army.
