A special council meeting will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. prior to the regular scheduled council meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear a presentation from a representative of Foam Works regarding sidewalk repair options for the village. The primary focus for this year’s sidewalk improvement program will be Broadway St. and East and West Adams Street.

Residents are encouraged to attend the presentation to learn about the proposed options, ask questions and share input. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

There will be a special meeting on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. for the purpose of passing a revised resolution to correct the fire levy ballot language that will be filed with the Board of Elections. As this is a special meeting, no other business can be discussed.

Information regarding the proposed ordinance will be provided to commercial property owners. All interested residents, business owners and property owners wishing to learn more about the proposed Ordinance are encouraged to attend the next village council meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the intersection of Morgan St. and N. Kansas St. will be closed for tree trimming and removal. The road will remain closed until the work is completed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The W. Adams St. paving project will begin on Monday, July 27, 2026, weather permitting. W. Adams St. will be closed between S. Kansas St. and Broadway St. Please be aware that there will be traffic delays and disruptions during the project. At this time, we do not have an estimated completion date, but we will update this post once more information is available.
