Barry was a member of Green River Lodge #2 and had a huge impact on many of its members. Him and his family are such a blessing to our Law Enforcement members and to our small amazing community. We thank you Barry for all you have done!! Rest easy sir!!

Barry William Tippy, 60, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family in Green River, Wyoming after fighting courageous battle with cancer. He was a 27 year resident of Green River. He was born May 17, 1964 in Carbondale, Illinois the son of James William

A bit about the FOP-

The Wyoming FOP is a fraternal organization established to provide support to law enforcement officers in the state of Wyoming.

Wyoming FOP Green River Lodge #2 is the local non-profit lodge that supports members of the Rock Springs Police Department, Green River Police Department, Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, and Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Members of the FOP are provided a legal defense program. This program is designed to cover law enforcement officers in the event they have an exposure to any criminal, civil, or administrative actions or proceedings.

The FOP has provided Financial donations, goods, food, or whatever else a member (officer) or their families need during a time of crisis.

The FOP donates yearly to local youth sports groups and events.

All funds raised will go directly to the FOP and will be used to help officers in the future and provide donations if/as needed.

Signs are for sale for $10.00 or donation, it helps us help each other in times of need! Not only just our local lodge but others as well. 💙

We will keep you posted where the signs will be available around town! (Hopefully by this weekend)

Sweetwater County is grateful to you and your family for your service to our community. Thanks for all you have done Sheriff Haskell.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the recent passing of our beloved longtime sheriff, Rich Haskell, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, July 31, surrounded by his family.

Sheriff Haskell dedicated his life to serving God, family, country, and community. A Marine and Army National Guardsman, he also spent 29 years of his life as a sheriff’s deputy, serving two terms as sheriff.

Rich was indeed one of a kind, larger than life, and an absolute pillar of our community for decades. Those whose lives he touched will not soon forget his impact, and we will forever remember his legacy as a valued member of our sheriff’s office family.

Rest easy, old friend. We’ll take watch from here.
