As we watch and read the special reports today; please listen to what the survivors and family say.
"Be the person you were on September 12th and live your life fully when given another chance!"
More survivors and responders have died now from the results of after effects from ground zero than in the actual event!
We cannot let future generations forget what happened; we do not want this to happen again!

We cannot forget the countless hours the service dogs spent trying to: first- find survivors, and then- the remains. They worked equally as hard as the responders searching, as if they knew what had happened.

A few more that answered the "call". 🚒
Welles had been given his red bandana when he was six. It sat on his desk at work, he said it would help him,' change the world'. He could have survived easily, but he made 3 trips up/down and saved 12-18 lives before the town came down on him.👨‍🚒🇺🇲🕊

Our former Fire Chief stepped away from his volunteer service back in Jan. 2021 after a diagnosis of cancer. His name has been placed on the Iowa Firefighter Memorial Wall during Sunday's memorial service. Thanks to Joseph Cornwell for the video.
