As community-wide rummage sales bring more traffic and pedestrians into our neighborhoods this weekend, please take a few extra moments to slow down and stay alert.

Drivers:
• Watch carefully when backing out of driveways and parking spaces
• Expect increased foot traffic, especially children
• Be patient with parked vehicles and congested streets
• Avoid distractions while driving

Pedestrians:
• Please do not walk out between parked vehicles
• Use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever possible
• Make eye contact with drivers before crossing streets

A little extra caution goes a long way in keeping everyone safe and making the weekend enjoyable for all. Thank you for doing your part and looking out for one another.

WORK HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR TODAY! NO ROAD CLOSURE!
⚠️Brief detour scheduled on Lake St Thursday, 4/23 ⚠️

Lake Street between South St and Ruth St will be closed for the majority of the day tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd. Traffic turning North on Lake St off of Illinois Ave will be rerouted on to Ruth St and no southbound traffic will be allowed on Lake St off of South St. Please plan an alternate route.

If you live or work on that stretch of roadway, please allow extra time, be patient, and use caution as you navigate this area.

Our DPW is experiencing issues with the leaf-vac truck. A timeline for repairs is unknown but has the potential to be lengthy. City of Green Lake residents are asked to kindly find other means of leaf and yard waste removal. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The City of Green Lake Water Department has identified a water main break on the corner of Union St & Halbert St. Crews will be repairing the water main as soon as possible. Customers in the immediate area may have reduced water pressure until the break is repaired. As always, please use caution traveling in this area.
