Today we had the honor of presenting Dr. Kathleen Spears, MHA with a Pantry Angel Certificate and a Pantry Angel Pin — a small but meaningful reminder of how God continues to work through her leadership and through the entire team at Waste Not Want Not.

We are deeply grateful for all they have done for the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs. Their faithfulness, generosity, and commitment have touched the lives of thousands of guests, including many of our unhoused neighbors who rely on this community for support and dignity.

On behalf of The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, our founder, Wynema Lovell, our entire volunteer staff, and every family we serve —
thank you, Dr. Spears, for being a blessing, a partner, and a true Pantry Angel.
Your kindness lifts our mission every single day.

Today, God reminded us once again that He provides in ways we could never expect.
Shax Express Cargo Inc arrived at the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs with a blessing beyond measure — two full pallets of fresh oranges, nearly 2,000 pounds, originally refused by a customer during their delivery route.

Sometimes drivers find themselves with items they cannot return and nowhere to take them. But today, God turned an inconvenience into abundance for our community. Instead of being wasted, these oranges became nourishment for families across Clay County.

We are deeply grateful for Shax Express Cargo Inc and their willingness to bring these items to the Pantry. Their kindness ensured that what could have been discarded is now feeding children, seniors, and neighbors who rely on us each week.

God sees every need. God sends every provision. And today, He used Shax Express Cargo Inc as His hands and feet.

Our First Extended Wednesday Was a COMPLETE SUCCESS!

We stepped out in faith — and God showed up in a mighty way! ❤️

This past Wednesday, our very first extended evening brought in approximately 50 adults and children across 15 families from all across our service area — Green Cove Springs, Middleburg, Keystone Heights, and beyond. Families that had never been able to reach us before walked through our doors — and that means EVERYTHING. 🤍

What moved our hearts most was watching a steady, continuous flow of neighbors and families coming in all the way up to 7:00 PM. These are hardworking moms, dads, and caregivers who, for the first time, were able to come to us after their workday ended. Many stopped to share how much this extended schedule means to them — and those conversations reminded us exactly why we do what we do. 💛

This is not just a food pantry. This is a ministry. This is the body of Christ in action.

---

🙏 A HEARTFELT THANK YOU:

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of:

💚 Waste Not, Want Not — Your partnership is a true blessing and we are so deeply grateful for everything you do to help us serve our community. We could not do this without you!

💛 Our Amazing Donors — Every can of food, every financial gift, every act of generosity made Wednesday night possible. You answered the call, and because of YOU, many people went home with food on their table. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

🤍 Our Faithful Volunteers — Who showed up, served with joy, and stayed until the very end. You are the hands and feet of Jesus.

We are celebrating a major step forward at The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs — a blessing that will strengthen how we serve families all across Clay County. God has opened the door for growth, and our pantry family has walked through it with courage, unity, and grace.

Over the last few months, our volunteers have adapted to significant upgrades that will transform the way we care for our neighbors:

✨ A brand‑new laptop, monitor, and workstation replacing a desktop over 10 years old — giving us speed, reliability, and the ability to serve families more efficiently
✨ A new office cell phone replacing the old flip phone — allowing us to text, email, and communicate with families who need help in real time
✨ A new client‑tracking program that helps us understand needs more clearly; in just the first 8 days, it supported 171 households and 522 family members
✨ New forms and processes that help us stay organized, responsive, and ready for the growing needs of our community

These changes are not just improvements — they are God‑given tools that will help us serve more families, with greater dignity, accuracy, and compassion. This is a true step up for our pantry, and a blessing for every household that walks through our doors.

We are deeply grateful for Jean Gloudemans, who has led this project with patience, wisdom, and a servant’s heart. And to our volunteers — thank you for embracing every change, learning every new system, and showing what it means to serve with love.

To our guests, thank you for your patience and kindness during this transition. Your encouragement reminds us daily why we do this work.

God is expanding our reach.
He is strengthening our hands.
He is preparing us to serve Clay County families in bigger and better ways.

Today, God reminded us that He moves through people — through their compassion, their kindness, and their willingness to stand in the gap for others.

We are humbled and grateful to share that Crum & Forster’s Charitable Impact Committee has blessed The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs with a $20,000 donation, delivered by Carolyn Altieri, Senior Claim Analyst.

This blessing began with two hearts moved by compassion:
Carolyn Altieri and Abbril Mashburn nominated the Food Pantry, believing in the work we do and the families we serve.
Carolyn and Abbril — thank you.
Your faith, your generosity, and your love for this community opened the door to this miracle.

To Crum & Forster, to Carolyn, and to Abbril —
we are deeply grateful for your support and for the way you allow God to work through you.
Your kindness strengthens our mission to feed families, uplift neighbors, and shine Christ’s love throughout Clay County.

May God bless you abundantly for the compassion you’ve shown.
Together, we are serving His people.
Together, we are making a difference.

Today we were blessed in a beautiful way. Mr. Andrew Anderson from St. Johns Contracting Group Inc arrived at the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs with an incredible donation of 840 lbs of food — a gift that will touch families across Clay County.

But what moved us even more was who he brought with him, his grandkids, both elementary‑aged and teenagers, came alongside him with helping hands and joyful hearts. Seeing children and teens serve at such a young age reminds us of Proverbs 22:6 — “Train up a child in the way he should go…” — and today we witnessed that Scripture come alive.

Their willingness to help, learn, and give back shows the kind of legacy Mr. Anderson is building: one rooted in faith, generosity, and compassion.

To Mr. Anderson, his family, and the entire St. Johns Contracting Group Inc team:
Thank you for being a blessing, for sowing into our community, and for raising the next generation to serve with love.
Your kindness reflects the heart of Christ, and we are deeply grateful.

Feeding Families. Sharing Hope. Building Generations.
