🚧 Our Public Works team completed the project near Bannerman Learning Center today!

The project included a repaired stormwater drain, three new pedestrian signs, and a freshly installed ADA-compliant crosswalk - all completed in-house, right down to the railing.

👏 Huge thanks to the hardworking Public Works team for keeping our streets safe and accessible!

❤️ New lifesaving equipment in Spring Park and Vera Francis Hall Park!

As part of a countywide safety initiative, Clay County has installed new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout Spring Park and Vera Francis Hall Park, giving our community faster access to life-saving technology when every second counts.

Each AED kit also contains Narcan, creating a dual-purpose lifesaving station in both cardiac and overdose emergencies. These devices are designed so anyone can use them with confidence and will open with a code provided by a 911 dispatcher.

Want to learn how to use the device? Clay County Paramedicine is offering FREE public Narcan, Hands-On CPR, and AED trainings to help save lives in our community on November 7 and December 10th.

To sign up, visit https://bit.ly/ClayNarcanEd, by email at [email protected], or call 904-284-7703.

Look for the AED boxes near the City Pier, Spring Park and Vera Park bathrooms.

Thank you for your partnership, Clay County. A safer, stronger community starts with simple steps like this. 💪❤️

On November 2, the City moved to once-a-week lawn watering in accordance with the St. Johns River Water Management District's seasonal watering restrictions. Conserving water helps protect Florida’s natural resources and promotes healthier lawns.

Odd or no addresses: Saturday
Even addresses: Sunday
Nonresidential properties: Tuesday

Watering is only allowed before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. as lawns require less irrigation during cooler months.

Starting today until November 11th, City Hall, the Green Cove Springs Police Department, and the welcome sign will be illuminated in green to honor our veterans as part of Operation Green Light.

Operation Green Light is a national campaign initiated by the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers (NACVSO). This initiative raises awareness about the challenges veterans face and highlights the resources available to support them and their families. It's a powerful way to show veterans that they are seen, appreciated, and valued by their communities.

You can learn more about this great program here - Naco.org/Program/Operation-Green-Light-Veterans.

Join us in recognizing their sacrifices and contributions. Thank you, veterans, for your unwavering service. 💚

🎄 Volunteers Needed for the Christmas on Walnut Parade! 🎅

Our partners at the Green Cove Springs Business League are looking for volunteers to help make this year’s Christmas Parade a safe, smooth, and magical event for everyone!

Here are the ways you can help:

Parade Check-In: Assist with checking in parade entries, directing participants where to go, and helping block off intersections.

Parade Route Monitor: Help keep the route safe and festive! Route monitors make sure spectators stay out of the street during the parade. (You can bring a chair!)

Sunday Clean-Up Crew: Help keep our City beautiful by joining the clean-up team! Trash bags are provided—just bring your helping hands and holiday spirit.

If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up at GCSBL.com/Parade/Volunteer/.

Let’s make this parade one to remember! 🎅🎄✨
