The Green Bay Art Colony helped found the Neville in 1915!
We are proud to host an exhibit with them each year.
Next years exhibition will be the 112th and we cant wait to see what new art the all create!
In 1915, nine women created an art appreciation club, but members soon realized that they also wanted a place to exhibit art. The idea of establishing a museum was germinated. They invited several men to assist them, and their dream was realized with the opening of the Neville Museum in 1927.
Today, a bronze plaque hangs at the Neville Public Museum commemorating those visionary women, and that nine-member Green Bay Art Club has grown into the Green Bay Art Colony.
