“When Katie Shoener died by su***de, her father, Deacon Ed Shoener saw how vital it was that Catholic parishes become places of ministry for those struggling with and impacted by mental health issues...Nearly ten years after Katie’s death, Deacon Ed came to speak at the Diocese of Green Bay Mental Health Ministry Retreat to provide prayerful discernment time, connection, resources, and guidance to those interested in pursuing mental health ministries in their parishes.”

📢 Volunteer Opportunity 📢

Foreclosure Prevention Volunteer – an ongoing & flexible opportunity!

Help Catholic Charities Financial Health team find pending foreclosure cases once per week across our 16-county area (online, using CCAP – WI Circuit Court Database). Using personal computers and volunteering from home, volunteers will help struggling homeowners quickly get free with legitimate guidance when they are very vulnerable by connecting the Financial Health team with those in risk of foreclosure.

Time commitment: 1 hour per week or less

Skills required: Basic computer skills

Training provided in person or virtually by the Financial Health team.

Thank you to all who stopped out tonight to support us at the Pints for a Purpose event at Zambaldi's. Special thanks to Bishop David Ricken for joining us and to our volunteer pourers Deacon Jeff Prickette, Deacon Shaun Johnson and Deacon Peter Gard from Diocese of Green Bay and Father Tim Shillcox and Father Michael Brennan from St. Norbert Abbey.
