The statewide tornado drills for tomorrow has been canceled

⚠️‼️UPDATE TEST CANCELLED‼️⚠️

THE STATEWIDE TEST HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RECENT SEVERE WEATHER RESPONSE GOING ON STATEWIDE. BROWN COUNTY WILL NOT SOUND ITS SIRENS ON THURSDAY AND WILL RESUME NORMAL WEDNESDAY NOON TESTING.

📢🌪️TORNADO SIREN ANNOUCEMENT📢🌪️

Sirens will NOT sound today (Wednesday 4/15) for the standard noon test. They will instead sound tomorrow (Thursday 4/16) at 1:45PM AND 6:45PM in correlation with the statewide tornado drill for Severe Weather Awareness Week.

During this time you are encouraged to review and practice your severe weather plan and check/refresh emergency kits.

If severe weather is expected tomorrow the test will be postponed to Friday 4/17.

I'm urging all individuals to stay off the roads Monday as crews work overnight into tomorrow to keep roads clear for emergency services. Avoid any unnecessary travel to allow police, firefighters, and EMS to respond to emergencies. Also, please check on your neighbors to see if they need help with clearing or supplies.
