Our new series in the KidCentral Warehouse is titled, "Kingdom Seekers". In this series, our kids will become "Kingdom Seekers, exploring the truths and wisdom of God’s Word in the Bible. We’ll be discussing the values of God’sKingdom, The Messiah, God’s Justice, and how all humans are made in the Image of God. Along our journey, we will be learning about the amazing ways that all of the books in the Bible come together to tell one united story that leads to Jesus.

For the month of March, our children at Central Church will join the C.S.I. (Christ Scene Investigation) Team, to investigate if Jesus rose from the dead. They’ll examine the crime scenes to look for clues, collect evidence, and hear from eyewitnesses. The evidence will lead them to decide whether Jesus’ resurrection is true and if they want to enter a relationship with Him. It will conclude with a tour of the very last days of Jesus on Easter Sunday.

Failure hurts! Few things sting as much as falling flat on our faces - especially when it is because of a foolish mistake we made that could have been avoided. When we fail, bad things happen.
King Saul was someone who seemed to have it all - strength, good looks, power - but he wasted it all. King Saul’s lack of patience caused him to miss out on God’s plan. His disobedience cost him the throne. His jealousy and anger ended up costing him some of the most important relationships in his life. King Saul’s life was an EPIC FAIL!

By studying the failures of King Saul, our kids will learn how to avoid some of the pitfalls that plagued his life. They will learn how to be patient, obey God’s plan, avoid jealousy, and control their anger. If they do all of that, they will avoid an EPIC FAIL of their own!

Bible Blockbusters: Big Bible Beginnings!
Big Bible Beginnings is an 8-Week series Starting January 1, in the KidCentral Warehouse. This series provides an overview of the Book of Genesis covering creation through the reconciliation of Jacob and Esau. It’s a moviemaking theme that your kids will love! Your kids will even be involved in producing a movie of their own!

There is a lot of controversy about Disney’s same-sex content in the movie “Lightyear”, which is being branded as "family-friendly." The movie includes a kiss between two women in a meaningful relationship.
Soooo…..how should parents deal with this if they have a different view then that of Disney and many others in society? Here are a few tips I received and copied from an article I read:
1. Remember that Disney is not a Christian company. I think we often expect companies that are not Christian to have Christian values. There are a lot of Christians that work for Disney, but they are not a Christian company. Should we expect them to uphold all of our Christian values?
2. It is the parents' job to mold and shape their children's world views. Parents must be prepared to talk with their children about these matters and guide them to a Christian world view.
Parents of younger children must decide if they want to completely avoid the controversy or expose their children to it. If they choose to expose their children to it, they should be prepared to talk with their children about it and share why it goes against God's plan for love and marriage.
3. We must model what love and relationships looks like. The best way to expose a "false" marriage is to show children what a real, Biblical marriage looks like. Once kids understand what a real marriage looks like they can more readily see through an inappropriate relationship.
4. We must remember that we are in a race to capture the heart and mind of the next generation. George Barna said this so well; “In the race to a child's heart the first one there wins. “
5. We are to speak the truth in love. Ephesians 4:15.
Combatting this with hurtful words, name calling or arguing is not going to help. We are to speak the truth in love and then pray that the Holy Spirit will begin to do a work in their life. We must stand on the truth of God's Word without shouting at people.

The Book of Ephesians is an incredible book of the Bible. The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church in Ephesus to help them understand how to have a REAL faith in Jesus.

In this series, the children will learn all about how to take their faith to the next level. As Christians, we want our faith to be REAL and genuine! There is nothing sadder than someone who is just “pretending” to be a Christian, but doesn’t have REAL faith!

I pray that your kids enjoy this series and that their faith is stretched in the process!
