🌱 Exciting things are growing at the Head Start Learning Center on Bellevue Street!

The school garden revitalization project is underway through a partnership between Brown County Extension Health & Well-Being, Community Gardens, Master Gardeners of N.E.W., and dedicated school staff and families.

During the first week back, students enjoyed a garden tour and harvested fresh zucchini, tomatoes, grapes, and watermelon for tasting. These hands-on experiences are part of a Farm to Early Care and Education (ECE) initiative led by Extension in partnership with Brown County Head Start programs.

Farm to ECE connects young children and their families with healthy local foods, gardening, nutrition education, and meaningful hands-on learning opportunities, helping cultivate healthy habits and a love for growing food from an early age.
