I think this will be the last post of the 2021 Blanketing Brown County drive. We have sent thank you letters that will go out in tomorrow's mail to our collection sites but I wanted to post the letter for the rest of you who don't receive it. Thank you so very much for donating and for our record drive collecting and distributing over 3500 items to a record tying 42 programs.
Dear
On behalf of the organizers of the 2021 Blanketing Brown County Drive, Brown County United Way and Greater Green Bay Labor Council Commuity Services Committee, thank you very much for being a collection site for the drive this year.
This year’s drive collected and distributed a record 3515 items. Most of the items were blankets, but also included other items such as sleeping bags, hats, mittens and boots that helped keep Brown County individuals and families warm this winter. We continued to receive donations until last week.
The donations were distributed to a record tying 42 programs with the largest recipients being the New Community Shelter, 6 programs of the Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPSD), 7 programs of Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin, Howe Community Resource Center, and St. John Homeless Shelter.

We All Rise
We were amazed by our county’s generosity. At a time when most charitable activities saw a downturn in donations because of COVID 19, our drive experienced a record year. Without generous participation like yours, the drive would not have been able to help as many people as it did this winter.
Again, thank you very much for your contributions to help meet the needs of homeless and low-income families in Brown County.
Sincerely yours,
Dan Wadle
