The Greater Green Bay Labor Council Community Service Committee's last drive in 2021 collected over 4200 and distributed over 3500 to programs serving people, more than double this year's Brown County United Way/GGBLC project using our drive's name. And the Federal investigation mentioned below still continues. https://www.nlrb.gov/case/18-CA-304847

Thank you for your questions. There are three current Federal investigations of the Brown County United Way and Greater Green Bay Labor Council, AFL-CIO. One of the three is https://www.nlrb.gov/case/18-CA-304847

Blanketing Brown County is not part of the BCUW/GGBLC blanket drive using our drive's name, a drive which you generously donated to for 10 years, because of those Federal law violations. Also see the comments and posts below. If you visit any of the companies or organizations associated with the Brown County United Way/ GGBLC blanket drive, ask them to explain their opinion on these Federal and upcoming State investigations, including issues involving former BCUW President Gregg Hetue and the BCUW Teammate Recommendations document that BCUW Attorneys and Board Members insist was created by Hetue.

I think this will be the last post of the 2021 Blanketing Brown County drive. We have sent thank you letters that will go out in tomorrow's mail to our collection sites but I wanted to post the letter for the rest of you who don't receive it. Thank you so very much for donating and for our record drive collecting and distributing over 3500 items to a record tying 42 programs.

Dear

On behalf of the organizers of the 2021 Blanketing Brown County Drive, Brown County United Way and Greater Green Bay Labor Council Commuity Services Committee, thank you very much for being a collection site for the drive this year.

This year’s drive collected and distributed a record 3515 items. Most of the items were blankets, but also included other items such as sleeping bags, hats, mittens and boots that helped keep Brown County individuals and families warm this winter. We continued to receive donations until last week.

The donations were distributed to a record tying 42 programs with the largest recipients being the New Community Shelter, 6 programs of the Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPSD), 7 programs of Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin, Howe Community Resource Center, and St. John Homeless Shelter.

The complete list of programs receiving blankets and other bedding items is:

We All Rise

We were amazed by our county’s generosity. At a time when most charitable activities saw a downturn in donations because of COVID 19, our drive experienced a record year. Without generous participation like yours, the drive would not have been able to help as many people as it did this winter.

Again, thank you very much for your contributions to help meet the needs of homeless and low-income families in Brown County.

Sincerely yours,

Dan Wadle

With our distribution of 80 blankets to We All Rise, we have one last scheduled distribution and that is 15 that are being taken to the Green Bay Southwest HS caring closest. We still have donations being generously made and we have a few programs that will accept additional blankets. Once again thank you so much to Brown County and Northeast Wisconsin for our record year.

With our additional distributions to Howe Community Resource Center, the drive has distributed over 3000 blankets and other bedding items this year. The drive has never surpassed 3000 before and we couldn't have done this without your generous support.
