CASA of Brown County

CASA of Brown County Nonprofit organization providing a voice for abused and neglected children under court protection.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Brown County is a member of The National CASA/GAL Association for Children and the Wisconsin CASA Association. We operate a CASA child advocacy program in Brown County, Wisconsin.

We recruit, train and support CASA volunteers who are professionally trained and supported by our staff. They visit with the child regularly and submit a monthly report to the judge on the child's safety and well-being to help the judge make important decisions about the child's future. A CASA volunteer is often the only consistent adult presence in the life of an abused or neglected child. A child with a CASA volunteer is more likely to get help with other services, spend less time in foster care, find a safe, permanent home, and do better in school!

Five homes. Five sets of rules. New siblings. New schools.

For one little girl navigating the child welfare system, change became a constant.

But through every move, her CASA Volunteer was there. Someone familiar in an unfamiliar world. Someone who continued to show up when so much else changed.

CASA Volunteers cannot control every circumstance a child faces. But they can offer consistency, build trust, and remind a child that someone is in their corner.

Every child deserves someone who shows up.

Our friends at Foster The Village are collecting Halloween costumes to make sure youth experiencing foster care have the opportunity to choose a costume of their own.

Many of the children we serve at CASA of Brown County benefit from Foster the Village and the support they provide to children and families in our community. We are so grateful for organizations like theirs that help make sure children feel seen, supported, and included.

If you have a new or gently used costume to donate, consider supporting their Halloween costume drive!

Thank you, Foster the Village, for all you do for children in our community!

Help make Halloween special for the children served by Foster the Village! 🎃 We’re collecting new and gently used costumes for our upcoming Halloween celebration. Donations in a variety of sizes will help every child find something fun to wear. 👻 Your support helps create joyful and memorable experiences for local children and families. 🧡 We also need approximately 70 small pumpkins (4-6 inches).

Donations can be dropped off before October 24 at Foster the Village during open hours, Monday - Thursday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 🏡

A big thank you to a friend of CASA's for her generous donation of toys, games, and books to the CASA of Brown County resource library! 💙

Our resource library gives CASA volunteers access to items they can take along on visits with the children they serve. A book to read together, a game to play, or a small toy to share can help build connection, create a sense of comfort, and make time together feel a little more natural for a child navigating a difficult season.

These resources are especially meaningful because they help our volunteers meet children where they are and build the trusting relationships that are at the heart of CASA advocacy.

Want to help stock our shelves? You can purchase toys, games, books, and other needed items directly from our wish list and have them sent to CASA. Every donation helps give our volunteers more tools to connect with the children in their care.

Thank you for helping make our resource library a place where volunteers can find something that helps a child feel seen, supported, and cared for. 💙

$10 a month might not feel like a lot.

But to a child navigating the uncertainty of the child welfare system, consistency matters.
CASA Champions provide steady support that helps CASA recruit, train and support the volunteers who show up for children, month after month.

For just $10 a month, you can be part of making sure children have someone in their corner.

When a child is navigating the child welfare system, having a consistent adult who shows up can make a lasting difference.
