History meets humor at Heritage Hill State Historical Park this summer!

Join Frank Hermans and his 15-year-old son, Harrison, as they bring the past to life in an original series of short historical-comedy performances written by Frank himself.

Experience the stories of Brigadier General Jacob Brown, War of 1812 hero and namesake of Brown County, and Ebenezer Childs, pioneering entrepreneur and inventor who founded La Baye’s first mercantile.

Featuring Harrison as Paddy O’Hermans and Frank as Ebenezer Childs and General Jacob Brown.

Performances will take place every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12 – 4p.m. with shows during the times listed Heritage Hill.

Although our 27 historic and reproduction buildings keep us plenty busy, we know the importance of ANY and ALL historic restoration and will always help when we can (especially if Drury Designs Inc asks us).

Heritage Hill is also incredibly lucky to have one of the foremost experts in historic windows, and pretty much everything else, on staff, Nick Backhaus.

Check out all the great work by the De Pere Historical Society on the White Pillars project!

If you want to visit some historic windows right now, come to the park! We’re open Tuesday - Saturday 9 am - 4 pm, and Sunday Noon - 4 pm with costumed historic interpreters in select buildings daily.
