What a wonderful day with the Prince of Peace Catholic Community! When the parish invited New Community Shelter to receive a portion of the proceeds from its church picnic, we were grateful—and we were happy to pitch in. Shelter residents volunteered throughout the picnic, helping keep the grounds clean during the event and assisting with cleanup afterward.

Volunteering gives our residents a chance to give back to the community, and they enjoyed being part of the day. Last night, Prince of Peace presented New Community Shelter and two other organizations with checks for $4,054 each! WOW!

Thank you, entire parish community, for your compassion, generosity, and support. Count us in next year—we’d love to help again! ❤️

We would like to thank VFW Winiecki Post 9677 Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Winiecki Post 9677 for taking the time to learn and tour the New Community Shelter. They so generously donated funds to help us update one of our five 22 year old veteran Transitional Living apartments AND funds toward or Supportive Housing building currently under construction. The biggest honor was meeting these great people! We are so proud of our Association with you and thank you very much for your service.

> Meal supplies — silverware, soup bowls, canned fruit, coffee creamer, lunch sandwich meat, fresh fruits
