We received word about this virtual sibling workshop. We are not involved with this group, but would like to inform our members. Sibling grief is not something we often touch on. Please to feel free to check out the website:

The event features other presenters, workshops, sharing sessions, and virtual booths. There will be a mini somatic breathwork session that will show attendees how to express grief without needing to talk about it.

This event is sibling specific; however, parents can attend to observe the workshops and there will also be time for people to attend sharing sessions.

This is a very good question. In my experience it’s been incredibly difficult to find the words to communicate to others what I need. Also the feelings and needs change so quickly. This is such a difficult road to navigate. Please extend Grace to yourself.

Siblings have a unique relationship with one another. They often are the witnesses of important milestones in their growth and development. They can be confidants, protectors, and partners amid life’s challenges. When a sibling dies, surviving siblings’ lives are forever changed. Siblings feel the pressure of the loss in many ways. Siblings may feel pressure to take care of their parents, to be strong for others in the family, or to fill the void left by their sibling.
